Content Marketing: The Laws of Attracting A Target Audience!

What is content marketing?

For starters, content marketing involves the creation and the distribution of relevant and valuable content(s) to attract, engaged, and acquire customers to your business. Content marketing can be distributed on an educational, entertaining or an informative note and be presented in the formats of video, news, blogs, how to guides, photos and more. See the example guide I found below.

When using content marketing or creating content for it, the platform that you would use to create interest in your product(s) and or service(s) representing your company would have to be of interest to those buying into it. What I'm saying is that, sometimes saying what you want to say to people about something that might be of interest to them to buy, or experience, isn't always what your target audience wants to hear. You need to find a way that would engage them into buying or trying any of your product(s) and or service(s).

With content marketing there are plenty of ways to advertise your product(s) and or service(s) by saying whatever it is you would like to say, without forcing your target audience into buying or trying it. I have here five simple rules, I've learned that can help you get them interested in what you have to offer them, without being so pushy.

The Five Simple Rules of Content Marketing

1.) Keep it non promotional
2.) Keep it relevant not only to you but your target audience as well.
3.) Make sure that the information you distribute closes the gap between you and them. Connect!
4.) Make sure your plans of marketing is well written and executed, concise through and through.
5.) Give Proof! Don't lie to them, show them how your product(s) and or service(s) will truly benefit them! Especially in the long run.

Giving them honest relevant and valuable information, like educating them about how your company, product(s) and or service(s) would work for them. Trust me it will definitely come to benefit you in the long run! Put yourself in their shoes, think of all the other companies that advertise with informational garbage about things they want you to buy or push you to try daily. That’s literally the difference between content marketing and forced advertising that some companies use in order to market not only themselves, but their product(s) and or service(s) as well.

All companies use and give out information all the time, but most of the time it’s not at all relevant or valuable to their customers. That’s what makes content marketing so intriguing in today’s world! Great content marketing makes a person stop to listen to or read an ad, then go off and think about it. In addition to that, in most cases it causes the consumer to want to buy or try a product or service a company has to offer. Content marketing is not only the present day thing of marketing but I can guarantee you that it's also the future way of marketing too.

I hope this article benefits you and your company in a way that it has done for me, I will attach links below to help guide you to some more content marketing info. Until next time...thanks for reading everyone!
