Content Marketing: The Laws of Attracting A Target Audience!

What is content marketing?

For starters, content marketing involves the creation and the distribution of relevant and valuable content(s) to attract, engaged, and acquire customers to your business. Content marketing can be distributed on an educational, entertaining or an informative note and be presented in the formats of video, news, blogs, how to guides, photos and more. See the example guide I found below.

When using content marketing or creating content for it, the platform that you would use to create interest in your product(s) and or service(s) representing your company would have to be of interest to those buying into it. What I'm saying is that, sometimes saying what you want to say to people about something that might be of interest to them to buy, or experience, isn't always what your target audience wants to hear. You need to find a way that would engage them into buying or trying any of your product(s) and or service(s).

With content marketing there are plenty of ways to advertise your product(s) and or service(s) by saying whatever it is you would like to say, without forcing your target audience into buying or trying it. I have here five simple rules, I've learned that can help you get them interested in what you have to offer them, without being so pushy.

The Five Simple Rules of Content Marketing

1.) Keep it non promotional
2.) Keep it relevant not only to you but your target audience as well.
3.) Make sure that the information you distribute closes the gap between you and them. Connect!
4.) Make sure your plans of marketing is well written and executed, concise through and through.
5.) Give Proof! Don't lie to them, show them how your product(s) and or service(s) will truly benefit them! Especially in the long run.

Giving them honest relevant and valuable information, like educating them about how your company, product(s) and or service(s) would work for them. Trust me it will definitely come to benefit you in the long run! Put yourself in their shoes, think of all the other companies that advertise with informational garbage about things they want you to buy or push you to try daily. That’s literally the difference between content marketing and forced advertising that some companies use in order to market not only themselves, but their product(s) and or service(s) as well.

All companies use and give out information all the time, but most of the time it’s not at all relevant or valuable to their customers. That’s what makes content marketing so intriguing in today’s world! Great content marketing makes a person stop to listen to or read an ad, then go off and think about it. In addition to that, in most cases it causes the consumer to want to buy or try a product or service a company has to offer. Content marketing is not only the present day thing of marketing but I can guarantee you that it's also the future way of marketing too.

I hope this article benefits you and your company in a way that it has done for me, I will attach links below to help guide you to some more content marketing info. Until next time...thanks for reading everyone!

Marketing: Strategic Public Relations & Branding

Hello Reader, Here again to share my views on Strategic Public Relations & Branding. Nowadays independent entertainment company's are trying to re-brand themselves and their artist, as our world and industry changes. Some of you are like me, trying to start a entertainment business in a billion dollar industry. There are so many companies out their and you want yours to stand out, but your probably sitting their asking yourself how? Some think that with Branding & PR, it's easy, they're just looking at the basics rather than the overall outlook. I'm going to break it down for you, from the things I've learned while taking my classes at Full Sail University, experienced on my own with building a foundation for my entertainment business company.

A brand is often associated with a logo, tagline, color and graphic elements, however there's so much more to branding than what meets the eye. Branding is the customer experience with the brand and the value gained by associating with it. The brand should deliver on those expectations and when done right it becomes a memorable and recognizable brand. Branding elements should always include a Mission Statement, Memorable Tagline, Brand Image, Values & Value Platforms and Maintaining Your Brand.

Below are examples of each element:

Mission Statement: This is where you should describe what you are trying to do. This is the reason for the company's existence and the value that the company creates. In order to become recognizable, the mission statement must be brief, yet contain the essence of your purpose.

Memorable Tagline: The tagline will express who you are, what you do or what your company accomplishes.

Brand Image: Website, stationery, colors, logo, tagline, mission statement, business cards, postcards, brochures, collateral, newsletters, mailers, rate sheets, warranties, informational cards, posters, signage, advertisements, letters, project sheets, bios, headshots, products, product names, branded or corporate clothing, and etc count for your company’s branding image.

Values and Value Platform: The Company values should mirror the mission statement. Must be honest and true ethical treatments and business practices, dedicated service(s), quality craftsmanship in the creation and delivery of products and services and consistently repeatable to use them as a platform.

The PR strategist and brand development expert will assist the Company to discover values, create a Value Platform, absorb the values into the company culture, rules and systems, and let others know of your expectations. Honesty is a fundamental foundation of a brand, and it is the bases of customer evangelism (positive word of mouth), so don’t be caught with your brand down because it won't be easily forgiven.

Maintaining your brand: An essential marketing technique, and once your brand platform is established…don't surprise your customers.

If you are founded on an environmental platform, don't suddenly abandon the environment or be discovered that you are, because it is inconvenient and sometimes slightly more costly.

If you are founded on transparent and economical price, don't hide tacked on fees or management overrides and if you work for a family company, don't be family insensitive too.

Branding a company is not only the name and visible recognition; it is its face in the business community and what people think of and know you stand for when they hear your name, your products or your people.

A recognizable and consistent face for your company is when someone sees anything written or spoken about a company; they should be able to identify both the company and the values behind it.

Communicate the essence of your brand and the value of your brand to all associated with it through all marketing, public relations and advertising methods.

Social Media Marketing Vs. Traditional Marketing In TheEntertainmentBusiness

We all know that the bottom line of marketing is to promote a company or brand better to its targeted audience. So when it comes to the entertainment business and marketing which is the best outlet to use? With so many different types of marketing out there the one that we all come across more today is social media & digital marketing. From small businesses to large establishments, no one can really deny the importance of having customers. It's considered as a necessity of every business, and without the help of its clientele, a company cannot achieve its desired success. In order to reach out to a maximum number of customers, you need to market your business well.

Unlike traditional marketing where people were forced to listen and comprehend the advertisements from companies through different mediums such as banners, newspapers, television and radio, here you have social media & digital marketing where it does not indulge in any forced involvement of its users. Users are free to ‘like’ a company only when he or she is convinced about its credibility on a personal level. In addition social marketing also provides an interactive and organized platform where customers can convey and have better direct interaction with a said entertainment business company or company outside the entertainment world, which makes it so prevalent in today's marketing society and in the entertainment business.

However, traditional marketing methods can still work in today’s society as well and should not be considered as obsolete. There are proven methods of advertising that have been used for years to attract and influence large number of potential customers. If you want the best marketing results for your business, it is always suggested that you do not ignore any of the advertising forms. In the entertainment business you will always have room to use many different aspects of marketing to get through to your perspective audience. You can use a balanced blend of both the traditional and modern marketing methods to ensure the best quality of up scaling the success for your entertainment business or company in general. Since I am still in college learning all about the entertainment world marketing for me is going to be very important to my business once I open up and expand in the near future.
